A Celtic Weekend

The following e-mail was originally posted on March 16, 2018

As I mentioned in a previous email, tomorrow is Saint Patrick's Day, a day when many around the globe celebrate aspects of Irish culture.  As the sun sets here in the West, I am also mindful that March is still Women's History Month, and keeping with my theme of celebrating women, I would be remiss in not concluding today's message with my favorite group of Irish women... the singing group known as Celtic Woman.  Granted these ladies may not be considered to be "historical" figures but Celtic Woman has undergone a number of personnel changes over the years, and while it is still a fine group, I still have a fondness for the originals.  And thus, in the videos that follow, you will see the original members of the group singing the classics that enchanted me so many years ago.  Perhaps, they will enchant you too.

Peace,

Everett "Skip" Jenkins

P. S. For those who do partake of "Irish festivities" tomorrow, including the partaking of certain beverages, please do so safely and in moderation.  There are many more holidays and holy days to come, ... and many more stories to tell.  It would be nice for you all to be here to partake of those future days and stories as well.
