O Canada

Yesterday, July 1, was Canada Day

the day that Canadians celebrate the coming together of three separate colonies to form one Dominion.  Given the day, and given the times, it is perhaps appropriate to begin learning more about our neighbors to the North ... the neighbors who have been so kind to have shed blood with us in so many of our foreign adventures over the last century ... and the neighbors who we seem bent on alienating under the current administration. Accordingly, in recognition of the long held bond between the two nations, today I share the national anthem of Canada.

After all, depending upon how things go, it just might become the national anthem for many of those who are feeling alienated by the is that is.  And if that should be the case, then it  just might be worthwhile that we all learn some of the words.

Peace,

Everett "Skip" Jenkins
